Happy Six Months Jayden!

Dear Jayden,

Today is January 8th, 2011 and you are Six Months Old! I want to start off this letter by saying I Love You. As long as I’m living there will always be someone who loves you unconditionally, someone who adores you no matter what, someone who’s greatest joy is to see you smile, and someone who prays for you each day. I can never tell you the depths of my love for you. But I want it in writing for you to always know. I love you Jayden. I always will.

Yesterday was your 6 Month check up at Dr. Nietert’s office. You weighed 17lbs 6oz and are 25inches long. No matter what you weigh or how tall you are I will always think you are the perfect size. God made you just the way you are supposed to be. Your cute little self is growing out of 3-6 month and into 6-12 month clothes. You wear size 3 diapers.

The most exciting thing for you right now is food. You are trying so many new things. So far you eat: rice, oatmeal, bananas, pears, peaches, apples, prunes, avocado, sweet potato, squash, carrots, green beans, and peas. Your favorites are pears, carrots, and acorn squash. I have so much fun making food for you. Thankfully you love everything I cook. You also love munching on food yourself in your little Sassy mesh bag. Yum Yum!

You are becoming so aware of your surroundings. You turn and look at every noise. You reach out to grab everything. And you talk, talk, talk. You are a happy little chatter box. Your chatter has now turned to squealing and it’s so funny to hear. We have so much fun with you. We took you to Giordono’s the other night and you sat like such a big boy in the highchair. You loved it!

You are in the beginning stages of crawling. When you are on your tummy you move your arms and legs as fast as you can. You don’t move unless we put our hands at your feet for you to push off of. If we do that you can scoot across the room.

In other big news, you are getting your first tooth! It hasn’t broken through yet but you can see a little white sliver in the middle of a big bump. It’s your bottom middle tooth. It blows me away that you are big enough to be getting TEETH! Where did my teeny tiny baby go?

Whenever you are playing by yourself on the floor, you check constantly to see where I am. When you see me, you give me the biggest smile. And every time I freeze in my tracks and think, “I don’t deserve such a perfect little son.” As Daddy always tells you, “Don’t ever change Jayden.”

Forever,

Mommy
